Is This The Right Course For Me?

When you think of the Alps, you think of Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn, big sweeping glaciers, but it is also a fantastic place for rock climbing, with thousands of routes at all grades, from a few metres high to several pitches long.

What Will The Programme Look Like?

We design each course programme individually, but the itinerary below gives a good idea of what you could achieve in five days. You can book any number of days for Alpine rock climbing. Please be aware that we often have to adjust an itinerary because of weather, snow conditions, fitness, lack of acclimatisation, etc.

Day 0: Arrive in Chamonix. Meet in the evening for a gear check and a chat about the week

Day 1: Valley cragging day, looking at all the relevant techniques

Day 2: Climbing in the Aiguilles Rouges on the sunny side of the Chamonix valley, with loads of routes and superb views of the Mont Blanc massif

Day 3: Longer rock routes from the Brevant cable car station

Day 4: Some of the most iconic rock routes in the world from the Plan de l'Aiguille (the halfway station on the Aiguille du Midi cable car)

Day 5: Ascent of the south face of the Aiguille du Midi from the cable car. Celebrate!
