We create personalised mountaineering experiences in beautiful places, to give you space to explore your physical and mental boundaries, so that you can reconnect with what is important and be encouraged and restored.

We inspire outdoor professionals through training and mentoring to be the best, so that they can invest in others.

We are based in the beautiful English Lake District, and our passion is to share the adventure of mountaineering in all its forms, whatever the level of experience of our clients. If you have a big school group and you’re looking for a half day rock climbing taster session, then we’re not the people for you. But if you are an individual or part of a small group, with a specific climbing or mountaineering objective, then you’re in the right place. We specialise in small ratios, because that’s where we can guarantee amazing results for our clients. The planning and booking process had allowed us to identify some clear objectives which we collectively revisited again with Chris at the start of the day and each of these were fully met by its conclusion - navigation, steep terrain work and ropework relating to the ML syllabus. Far more important though was the fact the programme wasn’t simply a list of boxes to tick but evolved dynamically as the day progressed as Chris assessed where each of us was individually and what learning opportunities he could present us with next within the scope of the activities he had planned for the group as a whole. His enthusiasm, experience and drive to see each of us progress and develop in all areas - not just those we’d identified in advance but anything and everything he observed during our day together - meant that quite literally every step we took became a learning opportunity with his encouragement to iteratively review, question, reflect and repeat. Exceptional. Chris operated exceptionally at all levels. His obvious passion, not only about the environment in which we were working, but also about teaching others how to operate safely, confidently and effectively in that environment to maximise their own enjoyment and that of their prospective clients was a constant framework which underpinned everything we did. The depth of personal experience and knowledge which backs up every point he makes assures absolute confidence in both his ability and his guidance. He has the gift of being able to provide insightful feedback and encouragement by means of developing a process of assisting with constant self review by each group member as individuals whilst simultaneously never losing focus of the group as a whole. This meant that we were fully engaged in learning the whole time, not just whilst focusing on the task at hand or on an assigned challenge but quite literally with every step we took. His approach means that he can seamlessly shift between ‘teacher’ and ‘mentor’ as the moment requires and embodies the very essence of each element of the tag line ‘Inspiration - Encouragement - Restoration’. Without a doubt the most gifted instructor I’ve ever had the privilege of being guided by.
