Reassessments in the Lake District

MLA 11.04 MLA assessment 005 rs.jpg

If you've already done your assessment but have been deferred on one or more aspects of the syllabus, you'll need to do a reassessment. You can return to your original assessor or choose a different assessor for your reassessment. You must allow a minimum of three months after your original assessment, and you must complete your reassessment within five years (if not, you will have to complete a full assessment course). We are very familiar with current best practice, and we provide reassessments for Mountain Leader, Lowland Leader, Single Pitch Award/Rock Climbing Instructor and Climbing Wall Award/Climbing Wall Instructor in the Lake District. As with all our assessments, we see a reassessment as an opportunity for further learning.

Mountain Leader Reassessments

We offer two options:

1. Join a scheduled assessment course

Our Mountain Leader assessment courses almost always follow the same programme, making it easy for you to choose which part of the course you would like to join.

Cost: £85 per day for one or two days; £75 per day for three or four days, £380 for the full course

2. Book a day or more with Chris for private guiding

You tell us what you need to cover and we build the day around your agenda. If you need to cover night navigation, try to avoid May, June and July. Max ratio 1:4

Cost:
1:1 - £200 per full day, £125 per half day
1:2 - £220 per full day, £135 per half day
1:3 - £240 per full day, £145 per half day
1:4 - £260 per full day, £155 per half day

Cost: £90 per day for one day, £160 for the full course

2. Book a day or more with Chris for private guiding

You tell us what you want to cover and we build the day around your agenda. Max ratio 1:4

What do our clients say about us?

Booking was easy with full discussion of my needs, and backed up with informative emails. The area used, timing and distance covered was just right with all of the key features that were needed. Plenty of stops for discussion and Chris's helpful input. Chris was friendly and informative and gave lots of positive reinforcement and additional input. Thank you for your help and a very informative and enjoyable day.
Ken Morton, 1:1 Mountain Leader reassessment day, March 2016

I had to cancel the first time due to last minute work situation and Chris and Anne were very accommodating and were happy for me to let them know when I would next be free. Very good service. Chris is very knowledgeable and friendly. Even though it was an assessment he made me feel at ease and made it an enjoyable process. I chose Chris as he is a Guide, already has good reviews and he was also available for the dates I needed. I will definitely book again for any further courses or guiding requirements.
