Alpine 4000ers, 8th-19th July 2017

WRITTEN BY CHRIS & ANNE ENSOLL

I've just finished a block of Alpine guiding work with Peter and Wendy, all the way from Sidney, Australia. It has been great to get to know them, and to share some adventures with them in the mountains. Some months ago we had a long chat on Skype, and came up with an ambitious programme, which included ascents of several 4000m peaks:
Allalinhorn (4027m)
Alphubel (4206m)
Weissmies (4023m)
Lagginhorn (4010m)
Mont Blanc (4807m)

Once we got started on the programme, we adapted it due to better suit Peter and Wendy's fitness and ability, and to work around the weather. Peter also chose to ditch the Mont Blanc attempt in favour of a more enjoyable experience on a lesser summit, Mont Blanc du Tacul (4248m).
